Editorial standards
Speed matters. Accuracy, independence, fairness, and proportionality matter more.
Verification before narration
Research comes before drafting. Editors establish what the available evidence can support, separate material claims, and record the source for each claim. Routine facts may rely on one authoritative source; consequential or disputed claims require independent corroboration; high-harm claims require primary evidence and senior human review.
Accuracy, attribution, and uncertainty
We distinguish established fact, on-record statement, reported allegation, analysis, and inference. Headlines must be supported by the article. Numbers include their source, date, unit, and relevant limitations. Anonymous sources are used only when the information serves a clear public interest and cannot reasonably be obtained on the record.
Original work, not disguised copying
ClariCurrent synthesizes reporting and evidence in original language. It does not reproduce publisher articles, imitate a source’s distinctive expression, or disguise close paraphrase as new work. External reporting receives meaningful attribution and direct links whenever safe and practical.
Fairness and right of reply
People and organizations facing substantial criticism or allegations should receive a reasonable opportunity to respond before publication when circumstances permit. Their response, refusal, or inability to respond is represented accurately and without retaliation.
Specialist accountability
Each category has a permanent editorial desk, visible remit, source priorities, email address, and risk standard. The assigned desk owns the article’s editorial quality. A named person is credited only for real, verified participation.
AI and automation
- AI-generated claims cannot serve as evidence.
- Outside facts must resolve to stored sources with retrieval times.
- Automation may assist discovery, clustering, translation, comparison, and drafting.
- High-harm subjects cannot be automatically published.
- Generated text is screened for unsupported specificity, source mimicry, and plagiarism risk.
- System learning produces reviewable proposals, never unsupervised changes to editorial policy or production code.
Visual and social evidence
YouTube, X, Instagram, Facebook, or other user-generated material is included only when relevant and appropriately authenticated. We identify what the material shows, what it does not show, who supplied it, and whether location, date, and editing can be verified.
Updates and corrections
Developing stories carry visible update times. Material corrections explain what was wrong and what changed. Routine spelling or style fixes do not receive a correction note unless they alter meaning.
